Crystal Reports

Crystal Reports is included with each Sage MAS 90 and Sage MAS 200 Library Master module sold. Crystal is a powerful, flexible, graphical reporting tool that allows you to customize existing graphical forms and reports, and create new graphical forms and reports.
Each application module includes a special Custom Reports folder, which offer a selection of popular reports prepared graphically using Crystal Reports. Use these samples as they are, or modify then easily to suit your needs. Study the construction as a learning tool for preparing your own reports using Crystal Reports. Publish your reports to the Web with automatic HTML output, export the report to Microsoft Word or Excel, or e-mail the reports in one of 15 file formats.
Crystal Reports uses a 32-Bit ODBC (open database connectivity) driver to provide read-only access the Sage MAS 90 or Sage MAS 200 data. Built in security features require Crystal Reports users to “log in” to the Sage MAS 90 database thereby enforcing your established security.
Crystal Reports is easy to learn. A built-in training and on line help system offer context sensitive help and tips for successful report writing. In addition, Crystal Report’s “Experts” are wizards that guide you through the report process. You’ll be an “expert” in no time.

Flexibility is FRx’s biggest asset. Column layouts, row formats and reporting trees are each created and defined independently, forming what FRx refers to as report building blocks. You can then use these building blocks to create virtually any report desired. Use the templates provided and modify them to your exact needs. You can elect to include or exclude departments for different views, perform division-specific calculations, then view your reports on screen before you print them.

F9 uses Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) technology to deliver data from the Sage MAS 90 or Sage MAS 200 General Ledger module to your spreadsheet program. When you activate the unique hot link feature from within your spreadsheet, you create an automatic link to your general ledger data — and each cell in your spreadsheet can be hotlinked to any data item in the General Ledger module. Microsoft Access

Many companies prefer to standardize on a particular report writer for all of their applications to minimize the learning curve of staff members. If you are now using Microsoft Access applications to manage portions of your business, and are comfortable with its report writer, you can continue to use it as a supplementary report tool. Your Sage MAS 90 or Sage MAS 200 Library Master includes an ODBC driver to allow other ODBC compliant tools, such as Microsoft Access, to read and report upon your Sage MAS 90 or Sage MAS 200 data. |
